Meet Bonnie Sheehan
Online Accounts Manager

Bonnie Sheehan, our online accounts manager, began working for us in October of 1999. Previously she worked for IDG books (a.k.a. HungryMinds), and before that at Addison-Wesley.

Prior to moving into the publishing field, Bonnie was a preschool teacher, inspired by a loving grandmother who taught first grade. Bonnie lives in beautiful Sonoma, where her family owns Sonoma Creek Winery. Although she doesn't participate in the family business, she does help out on occasion with their twice-yearly Carneros functions.

Bonnie loves dancing of any kind, but especially swing dancing. She enjoys the outdoors, movies, and-surprise!-writing. She's been known to write funny stories with her best friend, and they have plans to write a book together. When asked, she declined to tell what the book was about, stating, "A girl has to keep some things a little mysterious." About her writing, she revealed: "I have a dry and, some might say, dark sense of humor."

Bonnie also enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, a programmer. "He gives me insight into what geeks like. He claims that he likes and respects O'Reilly books, but he's biased- He has to say that because he gets free T-Shirts."

Although Bonnie doesn't have any children, she does have an 8-year-old kitty, Cleo-short for Cleopatra. "She's a black and white dignity-free domestic short hair who adopted me when she was a wee lassie."

All of us look forward to reading Bonnie's weekly account reports, where her witty writing skills and "dry and dark sense of humor" come shining through! She deserves a big "whooo hoooo!" from all of us.
