Meet Cindy Davis
Retail Marketing Associate

I'm honored to write about Cindy Davis, our lifeline between the Sales and Marketing teams. When she started with O'Reilly about 6-1/2 years ago, Cindy was a temp in our customer service department. With hard work, initiative, and perseverance, she’s moved up in the ranks quickly, and knowing Cindy professionally as well as personally, I expect she’s not done yet.

From customer service, she grew into a sales coordinator, and then became more involved in retail marketing. Her current position is Retail Marketing Associate. Some of her responsibilities include writing and editing the Reseller and O'Reilly News. She’s also the webmaster for our Intranet site, keeping us updated daily in her own creative way. Cindy is very well respected and adept in finding synergies between Sales and Marketing.

Now that you know her professionally, you might wonder what this dynamic woman does on the home front. Happily married for 18 years, her three beautiful kids (ages 14, 17, and 21) keep her on her toes. But she still manages to have hobbies such as writing songs, gardening and cooking. I hear she makes a pretty mean apple pie.

Cindy is also a very talented singer. What a voice! She’s in a woman's quartet known as The Four Decades that specialize in music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. It's only a matter of time before we hear her jammin on the radio, Daddy-O. She volunteers to teach singing classes to young people at her church and her kids’ school. Plus she edits the local school's newspaper.

Recently, she started to teach her son to drive. Her recommendation is to stay indoors while this is going on.

Cindy is a genuine asset to O'Reilly and her community. I can't wait to see what she strives for next. What a Super Woman!
